Diving Information

The islands of the Nosy Be Archipelago are famous for their white sand beaches, coral-filled waters, and unique floral and fauna.
From July to October, it is possible to see humpback whales and swim with whale sharks (until the end of December).
Plankton prefers the cool waters of the southern winter (June to September) which attracts megafauna that feeds on them and other fish such as whale sharks, manta rays, as well as turtles, and dolphins.

Scuba diving trips in Madagascar take place mainly in the Nosy Be Archipelago where the best locations are found (Tanikely, Nosy Sakatia, Nosy Iranja, Radama, and Mitsio).
Some other magnificent diving spots are in the south of Madagascar, in the region of Tulear, and Fort Dauphin.

What is the best time to go scuba diving in Madagascar?
From April to December, is the ideal time to dive in Madagascar. You will find that the waters are quieter, and the visibility is better.
From September to November, you will have the chance to see whales, whale sharks, and turtles.
From the end of December to the end of March, is the rainy season. Heavy swells make it difficult to access dive sites and visibility is limited.

There are neither roads, cars, nor electricity found here.
